Apropo Catering was founded in 1989 on the principle that satisfied clients and guests should be all companies' first priorities. For more than 20 years, we've been putting that principle into action, now in partnership with Romo Catering & Special Events, affiliated with Pasta di Casa, Inc, and Dreamers Gourmet.
Our years of experience in the food service industry have only made us more steadfast in our commitment to high-quality service and food. We focus on meeting our customers' needs and exceeding their expectations, which has been the key to our years of success. We are dedicated to continuing that tradition.
Company Management
Joe Aiello, CEC, AAC, HOF, has served as Apropo Catering's President since 1989. He is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York. He is a past-president and active member of the ACF Chicago Chefs Association. He is also a member of Les Amis d’Escoffier Society, Euro Toques Society, Order of the Golden Toque, Ordre des Canardier and Catering Executive Club of America.
In 2019 he was inducted in the American Academy of Chefs Hall of Fame and the Honor Society of the American Culinary Federation. He currently serves as the Vice-Chair of the American Academy of Chefs.
